About Naughty Truth or Dare
Naughty games for couples work best when there is a choice built in, which is why truth or dare survives everything else. This deck alternates fifteen adult truths with fifteen dares, all of them written for two people in a private room rather than a party. Any card can be passed on, and using that is a normal part of playing.
Sample questions to get you started

How to play Naughty Truth or Dare
- Both of you have to want to play. Nothing here is worth persuading someone into.
- Take turns. Whoever's turn it is takes the card as it comes.
- Truths get an honest answer; dares get done or passed.
- Passing costs nothing and needs no explanation.
- Agree an end point, and stop earlier if either of you wants to.
Why couples love this game
Choice is what makes an adult game comfortable. Being able to take the truth instead of the dare — or pass on both — means nobody is ever cornered, and people who are not cornered are considerably more adventurous than people who are. The deck is built around that principle rather than around escalation.
Tips to make it more fun
- Do the talking deck first if you have never had the plain conversation.
- Alternate who reads so neither of you controls the pace.
- Anything either of you passes on is not to be brought up as a criticism afterwards.
- Note the two things you both wanted and plan one properly.
- Enthusiasm is the only green light that counts.
Frequently asked questions
What are good naughty truth or dare questions for couples?
Ones where the truth is as interesting as the dare. A deck of dares alone runs out fast and puts pressure on whoever is less comfortable; alternating them means there is always a way through a card that does not appeal.
Is it alright to pass on a card?
Yes, always, without a reason. A game where nobody ever passes usually means one person is going along with things, which is the opposite of what makes this work.
Is this suitable for a new couple?
It is written for people who already trust each other. If you have not had a plain conversation about what you each want, the talking deck is a better place to start.
