About 2 Player Drinking Games

Two player drinking games have a design problem that most of them ignore: with two people there is nowhere to hide and no one else to take the round. These 15 are built for that from the start — short rounds, individual decisions, and a pace that does not put a bottle away in fifteen minutes.

Why couples love this game

A game designed for two can be more interesting than a party game, because every round is aimed at someone specific. The cost is pace, which is why these rounds are deliberately slower than a group game would be.

Tips to make it more fun

  • Slower than a party game on purpose. Do not rush it.
  • Eat something first.
  • Any forfeit substitutes for the drink.
  • Best played before ten, not after.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best drinking game for 2 players?

One designed for two rather than scaled down. With two people every round lands on someone, so the rounds need to be shorter and slower than a party game — otherwise you finish the bottle in fifteen minutes.

Can this be played without alcohol?

Yes. Substitute any forfeit for the drink and the rounds work identically.
