How to play Mr & Mrs Quiz
- One partner leaves the room and answers all 15 questions to a third person.
- Bring them back. The other partner guesses each answer out loud.
- A point for every match, and a groan for every miss.
- Swap over and run the whole thing again.
Why couples love this game
It is a spectator game as much as a couples game. The entertainment is in the gap between what one partner confidently predicts and what the other actually said, and that gap is reliably funnier in front of an audience.
Tips to make it more fun
- Record the absent partner's answers on a phone so you can play them back.
- Read the room — skip anything that will not land in front of the guests present.
- Best played after dinner and before the dancing.
- Keep a running score on paper so everyone can see it.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play the Mr and Mrs game?
One partner answers all the questions out of earshot while somebody records them. The other partner then guesses each answer in front of everyone, and you score a point per match before swapping over.
How many Mr and Mrs questions do you need?
Fifteen per person is about right for a party — enough to build up a score, short enough that the audience is still paying attention at the end.
